The
living room had furniture and items that did
not relate to one another. The space was not conducive to
conversation or entertaining, and lacked warmth. The false
windows on either side
of the fireplace created a more cluttered look
and made the room seem much smaller and took
up valuable wall space. The lifeless carpet was
old and worn. |
A
beautiful "Asian inspired" room was created with minimal
investment. The old carpeting was torn out
to reveal beautiful
wood floors that were then refinished, and an area rug was
purchased to create
a conversation grouping and a focal point in
front
of the fireplace. Sheets were taken off the sofas
and new
pillows were made to coordinate with the colors. The false
windows and window treatments were removed and the walls were
painted a soft
blue to coordinate with the sofa fabric. Most of
the accessories, plants, and artwork were found throughout the
client's home to complete the look.

This dining room had beautiful furniture but lacked warmth and did
not have a finished look. |
after interior
redesign

The
room looks much more inviting now. It was accessorized with new
and more "to scale" items,
and plants were added for
warmth. The chandelier light bulbs were capped with beaded
shades to reduce glare and complete the look. |
before interior
redesign

This family room was lacking in warmth and personality. It had
great bones but did not call
you in to sit and enjoy. The few
accessories that existed were dated, did not "pull" the room
together and were lost in the large space.
Lighting was sparse in
the room and the lamps
were also dated. The bland wall
color made
the space less intimate and give
it a "faded" feel. |
after interior
redesign

The
room has come alive, looks rich, and invites
you in. The walls
were repainted with a stronger
and deeper salmon color pulled
from the fabric
of the sectional. A new end table, tv armoire,
lamps, candles, and other accessories were purchased to enhance
the space and create
more coziness. Pillows were made to
coordinate
with the sectional fabric and those colors were
then
used throughout to pull the room together.
The stronger
contrasting colors combined with
creamy white trim and new tv
cabinet really make
the room "pop". |
